Sounds like good old 'corporate social responsibility'. My uncle, Carlton Spitzer, wrote a great book in the early 80's called 'Raising the Bottom Line'. Recently he included a portion of this book in his op-ed column about the efforts of Juanita Kreps in 1977... Would love to see this movement really stick this time.
